Mavunkal is presently under judicial custody and on 19 October, the local police registered a case against him under POCSO charges after a 17-year-old girl complained of violating her.
A mother and her daughter filed a complaint with the Ernakulam North Police against Mavunkal on Monday for allegedly violating the then 17-year-old girl in 2019 at two places and then the case was registered under the POCSO Act.
The Congress and other opposition has raised the antique dealer issue in the Assembly session, and Vijayan's replies have not satisfied them.
