The Monsoon Session opened with sharp political exchanges as the Samajwadi Party intensified its attack over alleged NEET irregularities and demanded stronger safeguards for competitive exams.
Samajwadi Party National President and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, addressing students and parents of the Mohammad Ali Jauhar University in Rampur, said, "We are all fully with the youth and their parents in their campaign to save Jauhar University."
"The BJP's negative ideology is one of 'conflict'; not dialogue. The BJP has become synonymous with despair. It's not the BJP government--it's arrogance!" Akhilesh Yadav said.
Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav launched a scathing attack on the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), calling it a "party of thugs" and claiming that the people of the state will wipe it out in the 2027 Assembly elections.
He charged that, “It’s not a deal, it’s a surrender,” adding that any agreement that goes against the interests of the 70 per cent of the country’s population dependent on agriculture can never be beneficial.
He said that alleged BJP fraudsters are themselves printing Form-7 and forging signatures to try to get the votes of PDA community voters, especially those from the minority community, removed from the voters' list.
Speaking to the media outside Parliament on Monday, Akhilesh Yadav said, "The Indian government needs to reconsider its foreign policy and the direction in which it is headed."
Opposition Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) have criticised the Union Budget while the Uttar Pradesh ministers have claimed that it was in the right direction to achieve Vikshit Bharat by 2047.
Yadav said that since the BJP government came to power, there have been widespread fake encounters. Many innocent people have had their lives and families ruined under this government.
