Samajwadi Party National President and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, addressing students and parents of the Mohammad Ali Jauhar University in Rampur, said, “We are all fully with the youth and their parents in their campaign to save Jauhar University.”

He urged the BJP government, driven by a sense of vengeance, not to make Jauhar University a victim of its narrow politics.

Akhilesh Yadav, in a statement here on Sunday, stated, “Our smallest workers, supporters, biggest leaders, and thousands of children and their hardworking parents, whose dreams the BJP government is trying to bulldoze, stand with us against this malicious and biased decision.”

“Every university is a temple of education. We appeal to the entire country to join us in saving this ‘temple of education.’ Children from every community study at the university. Has the BJP now turned against the youth of every community? The BJP’s arrogance is driving all this mischief. Even if there are any paperwork shortcomings, they should be completed to save the university and the students’ future,” he added.

The children of the poor study here, who, like the BJP, don’t have the money to send their children to expensive universities or abroad. Those who have neither families nor children, how can they understand the pain of their families? If the BJP had even the slightest sympathy for children, youth, their families, and society, it would have immediately found an alternative to this destructive action filled with oppression and injustice.

Mr. Yadav said that the truth is that the BJP is against education because educated people are aware and progressive; they raise their voices against injustice and question it, which the conservative, oppressive BJP government does not like at all. That is why the BJP and its allies are secretly plotting to close primary schools in every village and even universities in other places. The BJP knows that after getting educated, people will seek jobs, which the BJP government simply does not want to provide. Job recruitment is not on the BJP’s agenda. When our primary schools were closed, our vigilant well-wishers foiled the BJP’s conspiracy by opening “PDA schools.” That’s why the university is now their target.

Mr. Yadav said that this attack on Jauhar University is a despicable conspiracy by BJP allies against students from all communities. These unregistered individuals continue to run their own schools, yet they are plotting unilateral action against others out of revenge, which is highly condemnable.
