Indian cricket team head coach Ravi Shastri hit back at his critics on Wednesday and claimed that “the current Indian team has played better overseas than Indian teams of last 15-20 years. And you’ve had some great players in those series”.

Shastri also said they won nine matches overseas and three series — a feat that no other Indian side were able to achieve.

However, Ravi Shastri’s comment did not go down well with Indian fans who were already upset with the team’s batting dismissals in England.
