The much-awaited five-match India vs England Test series is just a few days away. The opening game of the tournament will be played at Edgbaston, Birmingham, on August 1.
Ahead of the Test series, Virat Kohli-led Indian side played a three-day warm-up match against Essex that ended in a draw. During the practice game, five of the Indian batters scored a half-century and captain Virat Kohli was among them. Virat Kohli scored 68 off 93 balls.
After the completion of Virat Kohli’s fifty, Essex Cricket took to Twitter to congratulate the Indian captain. However, their tweet, “This guy’s not bad at cricket… 50 up for @imVkohli off 67 balls!”, left Indian fans fuming.
