Defending champion India to take on Thailand in the Thomas Cup Opener
India have sent an 18-member contingent - 10 men and eight women - for the Thomas and Uber Cup Finals which will be held between April 27 and May 5.
Prakash Padukone was honored with the Badminton Association of India’s first Lifetime Achievement Award on Monday night in New Delhi. Actress Deepika Padukone with her mother Ujjala and sister Anisha attended the event. The award was conferred by Vice-President of India, Venkaiah Naidu.

Deepika was dressed in a beautiful peach-colored silk sari and paired her look with a bun and gold earrings. Her mother and Anisha also chose to wear Indian outfits and looked absolutely gorgeous.

The Padukone family clicked a selfie with badminton player PV Sindhu. Deepika, the proud daughter couldn’t resist herself from clicking the picture of her dad when he was receiving the award.
On Monday afternoon, Deepika and Anisha were seen twinning at the Mumbai airport as they left for Delhi. Both were dressed in identical tees, black jackets, and white sneakers.
She also shared the invitation card on Instagram.
PV Sindhu shared the selfie with the caption, “Many congratulations to Prakash Padukone sir for the Lifetime Achievement Award and also had a lovely time with the family and with one of my favorite Deepika Padukone.”

On the work front, Deepika’s latest film Padmaavat is doing extremely well at the box office and now she will start shooting for Vishal Bhardwaj’s film Sapna Didi.
