Natural ways to detox your body

Mother Nature has given us variety of products, which can help us get rid of toxins we are exposed to through food, water and air. When toxins accumulate in the body, we may feel fatigue, face hormonal imbalances, skin disorders, etc. Here are some herbs that are best known to help eliminate toxic build-up in the body.

Triphala

Triphala is known to have healing and nourishing properties. It is also of great use for detoxification. For better results, mix one teaspoon of triphala powder (it’s a mix of Amalaki, Bibhitaki and Haritaki) in half a cup of boiling water. Let it cool down and drink.

Neem

Neem is considered one of best Ayruvedic medicines for a variety of ailments. The bitter-tasting leaves are good for the liver and also help in better digestion. Consuming neem leaves daily helps destroy bacteria and many other harmful microorganisms in the intestinal tract.

Tulsi

Tulsi has anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and purifying properties which help the body in drawing out toxins. You can consume its juice or make tea. You can put Tulsi and Neem leaves together in your water bottle and drink.

Cilantro (Dhania)

You can boil flowers with water for 15 to 20 minutes to make a sweet tasting, detoxifying tea.

Milk Thistle (Dugdh Rom)

This readily available herb is most widely used for liver detoxification, to regenerate liver cells and help the organ in expelling toxins and metabolic waste. It also helps to produce bile for better digestion process.
