KOLKATA, 29 JUNE: Panchayat poll contestants have expressed reservations over the rural poll schedule coinciding with Rathyatra and Ramzan.
While Leader of the Opposition, Dr Surjya Kanta Mishra, squarely blamed the government for the election schedule clashing with religious festivals, PCC chief Pradip Bhattacharya felt that the state election commission should set aside a time between 12 noon and 1.30 p.m for prayers.
