The army on Monday, 12 February, said that one terrorist was still holed up inside the Sunjuwan military camp in Jammu, three days after a terror attack left six persons dead.

“One terrorist is still holed-up inside the camp and efforts are on to neutralize him,” a Defence Ministry official said.

The operation to flush out the terrorists holed up in the JCO residential quarters has been going on for over 50 hours after JeM terrorists entered the camp early on Saturday.

Six persons, including five soldiers and a civilian, were killed and 10 others, including six women and children, were injured during the terror attack.

Three terrorists of the Jaish-e-Muhamad (JeM) outfit, wearing army fatigues, have been killed during the operation so far.

Para commandos and aerial surveillance by the Air Force were used to flush out the holed-up militants during the operation.
