Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi on Saturday lauded the armed forces for their success against Pakistan in ‘Operation Sindoor’, and pointed out that the forces followed the principles of ‘Dharam Yudh’ and did not carry out any attacks when someone was offering Namaz or prayers.

The Army Chief was speaking at a function at his alma mater, the Sainik School at Rewa in Madhya Pradesh.

He stated that in Operation Sindoor Indian forces made it a point that no action was taken when someone was offering namaaz or prayer. The General said that Indian forces attacked and destroyed only those places where the terrorists were hiding.

He said India did not attack any innocent or civilian installation.

“We achieved our goal in ‘Operation Sindoor’, and sent a message to Pakistan that we are not like you. We are the followers of Dharam Yudh, and India will always adhere to that principle”, General Dwivedi asserted.

Later, speaking with some media persons, General Upendra Dwivedi reiterated that only terrorists and their bosses were taken out in Operation Sindoor. He stated that India fought with the combined strength of its principles and technology.

“Operation Sindoor was a very successful operation. Besides our three armed forces, the entire country was also in one accord”, the General asserted.

“The operation name Sindoor binds the entire country and Sindoor in Indian culture bears a very important place”, General Dwivedi emphasized.

“Operation Sindoor was successful because we fought it with the combination of principles and technology. We made it a point that no innocent and commoners of Pakistan suffer. We only targeted terrorists and their bosses” the Army Chief maintained.

India launched the Operation Sindoor military operation against Pakistan in May this year after terrorists killed 26 persons at Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir on April 22.
