An activist of the Geelani faction of the Hurriyat Conference was on Tuesday shot dead by terrorists who barged into his residence in the Achabal area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
The activist was identified as Hafizullah Mir. While he was killed on the spot, his wife suffered serious injuries.
Reports said that unidentified gunmen barged into the residence of Mir at Budhra area of Achabal and fired upon him.
