Another senior Assam Congress leader, Rana Goswami, quit the party on Wednesday tendering his resignation from his positions as vice-president of APCC and an active member of the Indian National Congress.

In his resignation letter addressed to General Secretary (Organisational) KC Venugopal, Goswami wrote, “I am tendering my resignation as the working President of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee and as an active member of the Indian National Congress.”
