Every generation has one name that lights up the path for millions. And for India, that name is Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. Born on October 15, 1931, in the quiet town of Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, Kalam rose from humble beginnings to become the ‘Missile Man of India’. Later he went on to become the 11th President of the nation.
But beyond the scientist and statesman, he was at heart a teacher who believed that dreams could change destinies.

Dr. Kalam passed away on July 27, 2015, while doing what he loved most, teaching. His words continue to echo in classrooms, hearts, and dreams across the world.
Dr. Kalam’s life was a perfect example of what happens when hard work meets vision. He played a key role in India’s missile and space programs and helped the country achieve technological self-reliance.
Yet, despite his many titles and awards, he always introduced himself simply as a teacher.
