Tripura: Drugs worth crores seized, over 250 arrested in weeklong drive

Three persons, including a woman and a teenager, were charred to death and four others critically injured, when a CNG-run auto-rickshaw, a car and a bike collided in Tripura’s Amtali area, police said on Sunday.

“The two passengers of the auto-rickshaw were charred to death on the spot and another succumbed to his injuries in the Govind Ballabh Pant Medical College and Hospital.

Four others onboard the other vehicles sustained critical injuries in the accident that took place some 12 km south of here on the Agartala-Sabroom National Highway late on Saturday.
All vehicles burnt down to their chassis before the firefighters reached the spot.
Police were yet to identify the disfigured bodies.
