To address these concerns, the police are intensifying their presence outside the Oscars venue and will engage with protest groups to outline expectations and boundaries. However, they reiterated that any unlawful behavior that jeopardizes the safety of guests or disrupts the event will not be tolerated.

The security arrangements for the Dolby Theater are comprehensive, including railings, fencing, checkpoints, and a substantial contingent of nearly 2,000 private security guards deployed by the Academy.

Commander Goddard expressed optimism about finding a middle ground that allows for peaceful expression while ensuring the safety and success of the Oscars ceremony. Ultimately, the goal remains to facilitate the arrival of guests without compromising on security.

As anticipation builds for Hollywood’s most prestigious night, all eyes will be on how the authorities manage potential disruptions while upholding the spirit of free expression and safety for all involved.
