One of Television’s most controversial show, Bigg Boss, has returned with its latest season BB11 and the show is already making headlines in just the first week of its run!

Who is Shivani Durga?

One of the most talked about celebrities in the show, self-styled godwoman Shivani Durga, is under the target of the saints for participating in the popular reality show.

The All India Akhada Parishad, an apex body of sadhus and saints in India, has questioned the logic of the ‘wise woman’ featuring on the shows.

One of the reasons for the outrage by the saints is because the last season of the popular show featured the self-proclaimed Swami Om, who made headlines for all the bad reasons.

Akhada Parishad’s president Mahant Giri said in flat words, “Those who participate in Big Boss are not sadhus. They are in-fact an insult to sadhus.”

Om Swami aka Baba Om annoyed his fellow contestants, fans and the host of the show Salman Khan in the previous season.

Durga a fake godwoman?

Akhada Parishad’s general secretary Hari Giri said, “We will be releasing a new list of fake god-men and Babas after Diwali.”

The first list of fake Babas, which was released recently by the All India Akhada Parishad, included the name of BB10’s most controversial participant, Swami Om!

The list also featured big names like Asaram Bapu, Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, Radhe Ma, Nirmal Baba, Swami Asimanand, Rampal, Brahaspati Giri and Malkhan Singh.

The 2016 Ujjain Maha Kumbh saw the All India Akhada Parishad expressing their displeasure over the behaviour of Shivani in the recent episodes picking fights with her fellow contestants.

Mahant Giri also accused her of being a fake saint: “Shivani has no knowledge of tantra-mantra and she is misleading the public for her own popularity.”
