Hours after announcing that the interim agreement with Iran to end the war is “over”, US President Donald Trump on Wednesday warned the Islamic Republic of new attacks tonight.

Speaking to reporters in Ankara, Turkey, Trump accused Iran of “lying and cheating” and said that the US has a “score to settle”.

“I don’t know if we’re going to have a deal… They lie and they cheat… They’ve misbehaved for 47 years. They’ve killed our soldiers; they’ve killed our people… We have a score to settle,” the US President said.

He called Iranian leaders “scum and sick people”, adding that dealing with them is a “waste of time”.

He warned of more attacks on Iran, including the Kharg Island on Wednesday night.

“I’ll give him a little warning. We’re going to hit them hard tonight, but we’ll see how it all works out,” Trump added.

US launched overnight strikes on Iranian targets, including the oil rich Kharg Island. According to Trump, he had asked the US military avoid targeting oil pipes in the Island and hit everything else.

In response, Iran also launched drone and missile strikes on 85 US pargets in Bahrain and Kuwait.

According to the Iranian state media, the US military facilities at Salman Port, the US Fifth Fleet area in Bahrain, and Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait were struck by Iranian missiles and drones.

The resumption of the war between the US and Iran came weeks after both countries signed a 14-point Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), under which they agreed to halt fighting on all fronts, including Lebanon, and negotiate a permanent end to the war over a 60-day period.
