Kim Kardashian ends North’s visit after Kanye West links up with Andrew Tate
While the Tate brothers have been sued for sexual assault in both the U.K. and the U.S., they have not been convicted and continue to deny all allegations.
They flew to Romania claiming vindication. They flew back to Miami as free men. Saturday, US Marshals proved neither flight was the last word.

Federal authorities arrested Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan Tate on Saturday in Miami. The US Marshals Service confirmed the arrest to the Associated Press. Marshals spokesperson Brady McCarron said the warrant used in the arrest was sealed.
The arrest came the same day British prosecutors announced they were seeking extradition of both brothers.

The Crown Prosecution Service said it is seeking extradition on charges of rape and sex trafficking. The alleged offenses took place between July 2010 and August 2017.

The charges relate to an area north of London, where the brothers grew up. Prosecutors allege the abuse of women took place between 2012 and 2015 in that region.
Lawyers for the brothers have said their clients deny the allegations.
Andrew Tate is 39 years old. Tristan Tate is 38. Both are dual citizens of the United States and the United Kingdom.
Andrew Tate is a former professional kickboxer. He first gained wide public attention as a contestant on the British reality show “Big Brother” in 2016. Producers removed him from the show after a video surfaced that appeared to show him assaulting a woman.
Both brothers built large social media followings, particularly among young men and boys. Their content promotes wealth, luxury and hypermasculinity. Andrew Tate has described himself as a misogynist.
The Tate brothers moved to Romania in 2016. Romanian authorities arrested them in December 2022. Prosecutors accused them of forming an organized criminal group to sexually exploit women, luring victims to Romania under false pretenses.
Andrew Tate also faced a rape charge in that case. Both brothers denied the allegations.
A Romanian court later lifted a travel ban that had kept the brothers in the country. In February 2025, they flew from Romania to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on a private jet.
The nbcmiami (dot) com report notes the Romanian case did not proceed due to legal and procedural issues.
After the brothers landed in Fort Lauderdale in February 2025, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said they were not welcome in the state. He asked the state attorney general to look into possible jurisdiction over their alleged conduct.
Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier then opened a criminal investigation. He directed the Office of Statewide Prosecution to issue subpoenas and execute search warrants as part of that inquiry.
Andrew Tate responded during an appearance on a podcast. He said the governor was responding to media pressure. He said he holds a US passport and has the right to visit his home country. Also, he said he has never been tried or convicted of a crime.
In March 2025, the Tate brothers flew back to Romania from Miami on a private jet. They landed at Bucharest’s Henri Coanda International Airport. At the time, Andrew Tate posted on social media that innocent men do not run and that they would clear their names in court.
Romanian prosecutors said the brothers remained under judicial control at that time. This required regular check-ins with authorities.
Attorney Joseph McBride represents the Tate brothers. He said Saturday evening he had not yet been able to speak with his clients following the arrest.
McBride called the new UK charges an attempt to derail defamation lawsuits the brothers have filed in the United States. He said the effort was aimed at preventing the brothers from having their case heard in court.
McBride said he expects the brothers to be released once a judge reviews the facts. He also said he expects the Department of Justice to examine what he called an abuse of authority tied to the UK case.
The brothers have faced additional civil claims in the United States. In one case, a woman in Los Angeles who had dated Andrew Tate filed a lawsuit saying she feared for her life during their relationship.
Andrew Tate has also filed his own lawsuits. One targets Meta and TikTok, alleging the platforms wrongly removed him in 2022.
