Solanki to inaugurate Bharat Kesari Dangal

Haryana Governor Kaptan Singh Solanki will inaugurate three-day Bharat Kesari Dangal-2018 on 21 March which is to be organised to commemorate the Shaheedi Diwas of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev at Bhim Stadium, Bhiwani.

The Principal Secretary, Sports and Youth Affairs, Ashok Khemka said that the competition would conclude on 23 March.

He said that as many as 80 well known wrestlers would participate in the competition.

The competition would be participated by eight teams in ten weight categories, in which the wrestlers who would secure first place would get a cash award of Rs One Crore.

Apart from this, first runner up in weight categories would get a cash award of Rs 50 Lakh, second runner up Rs 25 Lakh and third runner up Rs 10 Lakh. The trainers of the winning wrestlers would also be awarded, he added.

Khemka said that this was the biggest award wrestling competition being organised in the country, in which senior wrestlers (five male and five female weight category) from various states would participate.

In this competition, male wrestlers weighing 57 kg, 65 kg, 74 kg, 86 kg and 97 kg would participate and women wrestlers weighing 50 kg, 57 kg, 62 kg, 68 kg and 72 kg.

The Sports and Youth Affairs Department had been organising such competitions for the last three years in various districts of the state.

The complete arrangement of food, lodging and other facilities had been made for the participating wrestlers, he added.
