Odisha contributes 42% to India’s mineral production: Report
Odisha’s Mineral revenue has reached Rs 38,075 crore in 2022-23 providing the state adequate cushion for developmental spending, the official said.

Fullerton India Credit Company Limited (Fullerton India), a non-banking financial company, announced the launch of new rural branches in Odisha. The new branches launched in Berhampur, Balugaon, Nimapada and Jagatpur, are the first set of rural branches in the state and will operate under Fullerton India – Gramshakti, the company’s rural business brand.
These new rural branches will offer Livelihood Advancement Loans for Women Groups. Fullerton India has been serving its customers in Odisha through an established network of three urban branches spread across Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Rourkela.
Mr Vishal Wadhwa, Head of Rural Business of the company said the robust economy of Odisha, supported by its manufacturing units and access to natural resources, induces demand for organised credit in the state.

Odisha stood second across all states in terms of rural livelihood disbursal in FY18 and thus is a high potential market for us. Taking cognizance of the business opportunity we aim to drive inclusive growth in untapped hinterlands of Odisha, through our new rural branches under Fullerton India – Gramshakti.
