A four-year-old child was reunited with his parents, thanks to the efforts of the staff of the Neb Sarai Police Station under the south district, a police official said on Tuesday.
On Monday, the police personnel at the police station received a call about an abandoned minor boy at street no 26, Sangam Vihar in South Delhi. A police team rushed to the spot took the boy into their custody and consoled him while making efforts to find his family, their address, and related information.
Subsequently, a police team, including a sub-inspector, an ASI, a head constable, and a woman constable led by the station house officer (SHO) was constituted to track down the family. The police took the help of the Zonal Integrated Police Network (ZIPNET) for leads into the case and to locate the child’s family.

The police deployed local sources to collect human intelligence on the matter while conducting a door-to-door inquiry and scanning the CCTV footage of the area.
After untiring efforts, the police finally could access the details of the family and found that the boy belonged to L- block Sangam Vihar. The family was immediately contacted. They recognised the boy following which the kid was reunited with his family.
The police personnel involved in the efforts are being suitably rewarded for the good work, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) South District, Ankit Chauhan said.
