4 killed, 2 injured in car accident in Shimla

Four tourists from Haryana were on Tuesday morning killed while two others suffered injuries after the car they were travelling in fell into gorge near Narkanda in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Pramod Shukla said the car fell into 250 feet deep gorge near Devi Mod in Narkanda at around 7 am.

Four persons died identified as Jagpreet, Deepak, Ajay, Lokesh killed on spot and they were the resident of Vallabhgarh in Haryana.

Two others who were also the residents of Haryana and identified as Rahul and Rohtas have suffered injuries in the accident and their condition is said to be serious but stable.

A case has been registered in this regard and further investigations in the matter are on.
