RiseSmart, a Randstad company has launched a native outplacement mobile app, enabling program participants to further their career transitions.

The mobile app is available in 12 languages, and on both iPhone and Android platforms, RiseSmart’s mobile app effectively gives users a career coach in their pocket for on-demand transition guidance. Participants can schedule coaching meetings, register and view webinars, attend group coaching sessions, and even access job opportunities on a map to estimate the impact on their commute.

Mobile devices surpassed desktop usage in 2014, about nearly 60 percent of digital media is consumed on smartphones and tablets and thus there has been a three-fold increase in attendance to webinars and group sessions via mobile devices.

Our mobile app allows us to reach our program participants where they are, thereby increasing their engagement with us and – most importantly accelerating results.”

After four weeks in their career transition program, RiseSmart participants those who have used the mobile app are 130 percent more engaged than participants with desktop-only access.

“We realized a long time ago that mobile is the platform of the future,” stated RiseSmart’s senior director of product management, Shri Iyer. “Through our mobile app, we’ve brought outplacement to job seekers all over the world including emerging markets where mobile may be the only device available.”
