Stock market fails to hold on to opening gains, selling seen in heavyweights
The overall market capitalisation of BSE-listed firms dropped to nearly Rs 406.2 lakh crore from nearly Rs 408.5 lakh crore in the previous session.
The 30-scrip Sensitive Index (Sensex) on Wednesday opened on a positive note during the morning session of the trade.
The Sensex of the BSE after opening at 32,467.10 points, touched a high of 32,495.39 points and a low of 32,457.60 points.
It is trading at 32,481.35 points up by 78.98 points or 0.24 per cent from Tuesday’s close at 32,402.37 points.

On the other hand, the broader 51-scrip Nifty at National Stock Exchange (NSE) opened at 10,160.95 points after closing at 10,147.55 points.
The Nifty is trading at 10,166.55 points in the morning.
