Trinamul Congress leaders today lambasted Prime Minister Narendra Modi for portraying a picture which is far from reality.

Trinamul Congress has started a programme called Modir Zero Guarantee Series, where the party has shown how the saffron party has deceived people and deliberately spread lies.

Chadrima Bhattacharya, the finance minister and president Trinamul Mahila Congress and Dr Shantanu Sen, former Rajya Sabha MP addressed the press and alleged that the BJP is circulating lies about the income of farmers. Mr Modi had said that by 2022, the income of the farmers would double. But nothing of the sport happened and if the growth happens at the existing pace, then the income of the farmers would double by 2028.

The Swachh Bharat Mission scheme is another big failure. In the past five years since the scheme was introduced altogether 306 people died while cleaning septic tanks or open drains. Now, the Centre is silent on the issue.

Under Bharat Bala scheme, which proposes to connect 806 districts across India, only 39 per cent work has been done so far.

More than 7.5 lakh fake card holders have been spotted under Ayushman Bharat scheme. The CAG report stated that in Madhya Pradesh, more than a crore have been spent on 400 deceased were given fake card holders and given Rs 1 crore by the MP government.

The condition of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana is scary. In 2022-23, more than 1.2 crore families did not refill the cylinder while 1.05 crore families had refilled the cylinder only once during this period.

Mrs Bhattacharya said that more than 175 hours have lapsed since the national general secretary of Trinamul Congress Abhishek Banerjee threw a challenge to the BJP leaders alleging that the Centre did not give a single penny for MGNREGA and Awas Yojana in 2021-22, 2022-23 and 2023-24 and urged the leaders to take part in a debate. “The BJP, which claims to be the biggest political party in the world, did not accept the challenge and is silent on the issue. BJP is only telling lies and lies only,” she remarked.

Trinamul Congress will hold a press conference daily to expose the hollowness of Modi ki guarantee.

Dr Shantanu Sen said on roads, the restoration rate was supposed to be Rs 18 crore but the actual cost became Rs 250 crore. “It has come out in the leading newspapers today that regarding the inequality situation, the present state of affairs is worse than the British regime. This proves their jumla. It proves the publicity master Prime Minister’s guarantees and no warranties,” Dr Sen said.
