The kitchen is underwater. The building is being sold. And the only person left standing between ‘The Bear’ and a permanent closed sign is Sydney Adamu, running her first service without the chef who built it all.

FX has released official trailer for Season 5 of ‘The Bear’ confirming it as the show’s final run. The season premieres on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 9 pm ET on both FX and Hulu. FX will continue airing episodes weekly at 9 p.m. ET through August 6. International viewers will find the final season on Disney+.
In Season 4’s finale, Carmy made the controversial decision to quit his restaurant, handing ownership of The Bear over to Sydney, Richie, and Sugar. It is implied that Carmy is done with cooking altogether after realizing how it has affected his mental health.

That exit sets the stage for everything in Season 5.

The fifth and final season picks up the morning after Sydney, Richie, and Sugar discover that Carmy has quit the food industry, leaving the restaurant to them.
In the trailer, Carmy takes a backseat as boss. He sticks to the decision he made in the Season 4 finale, letting Sydney, Cousin Richie, and Natalie “Sugar” preside over The Bear. Sydney is running the show now, with Carmy simply following orders.
The trailer makes clear that the situation is dire from the start. The building is about to be sold, water is literally pouring through its cracks, deliveries are cut off, and one disaster after another keeps popping up.
Uncle Cicero is selling the building, giving the team very limited time to succeed. A literal storm threatens to flood the floor and collapse the ceiling.
Despite the chaos, the crew has not given up. With no money, the threat of a sale, and a torrential storm in their way, the new partners must band together with the rest of the team to achieve one last service, hoping they will finally earn a Michelin star.
The official description states that the team will ultimately learn that what makes a restaurant “perfect” might not be the food, but the people.
The trailer appears to confirm that Season 5 will largely take place over the course of one day. Though the final episodes will likely incorporate flashbacks, the main thrust of the story will center on the last dinner service at The Bear.
The series stars Jeremy Allen White, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Ayo Edebiri, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Abby Elliott, Matty Matheson, and Edwin Lee Gibson. Returning recurring cast includes Jamie Lee Curtis and Will Poulter. Oliver Platt and Ricky Staffieri are also back among the recurring stars.
Ahead of the season, FX dropped a standalone episode. A surprise flashback episode titled “Gary,” co-written and starring Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Jon Bernthal, arrived ahead of the final run. It follows Richie and Mikey on a work trip to Gary, Indiana.
The episode added emotional weight to the upcoming finale by exploring Mikey’s character in greater depth.
The Bear is created by Christopher Storer, who serves as executive producer alongside Josh Senior, Cooper Wehde, Tyson Bidner, Matty Matheson, Hiro Murai, and Rene Gube. Courtney Storer serves as culinary producer. The show is produced by FX Productions.
Production on Season 5 wrapped in February 2026. Jamie Lee Curtis, who plays Carmy’s mother Donna, commemorated the wrap in several emotional Instagram posts, suggesting it was her final time on set. In one post, she wrote about completing the story of the family the cast had fallen in love with.
The show was picked up for Season 5 in July 2025. The Bear has followed a consistent release schedule, with a new season dropping every June since its debut.
The Bear heads into its final season after an acclaimed run that saw the series collect 21 Primetime Emmy wins. Jeremy Allen White won Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series three consecutive years, from 2023 through 2025, while Ayo Edebiri and Ebon Moss-Bachrach received both Emmy and Golden Globe recognition.
The series has been a standout since its 2022 debut, built around the pressure of watching Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto take control of his family’s Chicago sandwich shop and attempt to transform it into a high-end fine dining restaurant.
All eight episodes of Season 5 will be available to stream on Hulu at debut on June 25. FX will also air the episodes weekly at 9 pm ET through August 6. Audiences in India can stream the season on JioHotstar.
