Self-enumeration process for Census 2027 in UP begins tomorrow

Self-enumeration for Census 2027 in Uttar Pradesh will commence tomorrow at 6:00 am. Under this initiative, citizens will have the opportunity to submit their census returns online.

To ensure effective conduct and widespread publicization of self-enumeration under the first phase of Census 2027, an important meeting was held here today for Lucknow district under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Mr. Vishakh G.

During the meeting, the District Magistrate stated that Census 2027 is a crucial process for the country, requiring the promotion of self-enumeration. He directed that all departments, at their respective levels, should make as many people aware of self-enumeration as possible and encourage them to participate in the census process digitally.

He also stated that departmental coordination is crucial for the successful implementation of self-enumeration. All officers should ensure that employees associated with their departments, their families, and citizens they interact with actively participate in the self-enumeration process. Widespread publicity should also be provided through public representatives, social organizations, educational institutions, and the media.

The District Magistrate informed the meeting that self-enumeration will commence on May 7, 2026, at 6:00 am. Under this initiative, citizens will be given the opportunity to submit their census returns online. The District Magistrate also informed the meeting that IC materials will be made available to all departments by this evening to educate officials, employees, and the general public about self-enumeration.
