Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, “Security is the most essential requirement for development and enterprise. Without security, neither good governance nor prosperity can be achieved. Since 2017, the government has moved forward with a policy of zero tolerance against crime and criminals. There can be no compromise with this policy. Those who do not accept the policy of zero tolerance will be dealt with in the language they understand, but no one will be allowed to rob young people of employment opportunities.”

CM Yogi was addressing a public gathering on Wednesday after inaugurating Eastern Uttar Pradesh’s first and the state’s second Flatted Factory Complex, constructed at a cost of ₹42.50 crore in Sector-13 of GIDA (Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority), and inaugurating the EWS-LIG Residential Complex for workers employed in GIDA.

In his address, the Chief Minister informed, “Since 2017, Uttar Pradesh has presented a model of security. This has led to industrial development and provided employment to lakhs of young people. In GIDA alone, 50,000 youths have secured employment over the last few years. This would not have been possible without a secure environment. The government has resolved that the process of development will continue uninterrupted, security will be provided to everyone, and the benefits of welfare schemes will reach all without discrimination. However, if anyone attempts to snatch the rights of the poor, intimidate traders, or dares to tamper with the dignity of daughters, the government will not spare them. Such individuals will be tracked down even from the depths of the underworld. Uttar Pradesh is working with this very spirit of zero tolerance.”

CM Yogi stated that the secure environment created in the state has attracted investment proposals worth ₹50 lakh crore. Of these, proposals worth ₹15 lakh crore have already been implemented on the ground, while investment proposals worth ₹7.5 lakh crore are ready for ground-breaking. Large-scale investments have generated jobs and employment opportunities for lakhs of people. The promotion of MSMEs has provided employment to 3 crore people within their own villages and regions.

The Chief Minister said, “Along with a zero-tolerance policy towards crime, the government has also adopted a zero-tolerance policy against corruption and corrupt individuals. As a result, more than 9 lakh government jobs have been provided in the state. Youth from every district of Uttar Pradesh have secured government employment. Adequate opportunities for recruitment to government jobs have been made available across the state.”

CM Yogi also said outstanding achievements in development, industry and employment are possible only when a good government is in place. A good government is formed when the public elects capable representatives.

He informed, “When the people elected Narendra Modi as Prime Minister in 2014, the world’s perception of India changed under his leadership. In New India, development is progressing alongside the preservation of heritage. Responding to Prime Minister Modi’s call, the people of Uttar Pradesh elected a BJP government in 2017, and this government worked two steps ahead of public expectations.”

Giving examples of good public representatives, the Chief Minister said that when people elected Ravi Kishan as MP and leaders such as Vipin Singh and Pradeep Shukla as MLAs, the pace of development accelerated significantly.

The Chief Minister expressed satisfaction over the industrial development taking place in GIDA and said that GIDA has undergone a remarkable transformation over the last 9 years. Industries here are producing steel, pipes and quality garments. Units of Varun Beverages, the franchisee of PepsiCo and Bisleri, have also been established. New industries continue to arrive. A major distillery is being set up. An institution of Gita Press is also being established here.

He said, industries are not merely centres of production; they also generate employment. Training provided through GIDA’s NIELIT Centre is ensuring local employment opportunities for youth.

The Chief Minister said, “GIDA is now expanding towards the Dhuriyapar area. An Industrial Township is being developed there across 7,000 acres. Cement and paint factories are being established in the area. The Gorakhpur Link Expressway is also greatly benefiting the industrial sector. Travel time from Gorakhpur to Lucknow has been reduced from 7-8 hours to approximately three to three-and-a-half hours.”

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath described the Flatted Factory as an excellent ready-to-use or plug-and-play model for MSME units. Calling it an innovative initiative of GIDA, he said that young entrepreneurs who do not have the resources to purchase land and establish factories can directly begin operations here.

He said, “Even with a small investment, substantial profits can be earned. This will prove to be an excellent model for ready-made garments, electronics and other MSME units.”

He also praised GIDA for providing high-quality, affordable residential facilities for workers coming from distant areas.

After inaugurating the facility, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inspected the Flatted Factory Complex. He said that the building should be expanded further in the future if required.

GIDA CEO Anuj Malik informed the Chief Minister that the building has been designed in a manner that allows the addition of three more floors. After the inspection, the Chief Minister also planted a sapling within the premises of the Flatted Factory.

On the occasion, he performed Annaprashan ceremonies for children and blessed them while presenting toys. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also presented Nutrition Kits to pregnant women.

CM Yogi also inaugurated the LIG and EWS Residential Complex constructed for workers employed in various units of GIDA by cutting the ceremonial ribbon. After reviewing the residential units within the complex, he also planted a sapling on the premises.
