The day Prime Minister Narendra Modi achieves his goal of ensuring that every household gets toilet, electricity and cooking gas, is the day when ‘Ram Rajya’ will be established in the country, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Wednesday.

Addressing the ‘Deepotsav’ on the banks of Saryu River, a day before Diwali in Ayodhya– the birth place of Lord Rama, Adityanath said: “The real meaning of Ram Rajya is a home for all, electricity and LPG gas cylinders for every household.”

“PM Modi is working tirelessly to achieve these goals… With his (Modi) welfare schemes, I am sure Ram Rajya will return to the country,” he addedas the crowd repeatedly raised chants of “Jai Shri Ram”.

Yogi further said that Ayodhya gave the concept of Ram Rajya– where there is no pain or griefand that Ayodhya was the land of humanity. He ended his speech with chants of “Jai Shri Ram” as well.

After Yogi’s speech, UP Governor Ram Naik too addressed the gathering following which the duo performed a grand ‘aarti’ on the spruced up ghats of the Saryu river which were illuminated by nearly 2 lakh earthen oil lamps as part of Yogi’s grand Diwali celebrations in Ayodhya.

As per reports, the government is planning to set a Guinness World Record by lighting the plethora of lamps in two patterns– one depicting a bow and arrow of Lord Rama and the other depicted the sign of Swastik. The first diya was lighted by Yogi.

While, the government has claimed that the efforts are aimed at developing Ayodhya as a major tourist destination on the lines of Varanasi and Mathura, the opposition is terming the event a major push for a Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
