Woman trampled to death
MORIGAON (Assam), 16 JUNE: A woman was trampled to death and crops destroyed by a herd of wild elephants in Assam’s Morigaon district today, police said.
A herd of wild elephants came out from Kholahat forest and destroyed several acres of crop land and trampled to death a woman at Daborhat village under Nellie Police station, they said. The body has been sent for post-mortem. pti
