The Tata Medical Centre (TMC) in Kolkata will organise a Marathon, “Dil Diyey Douroben” on 5 January next year on Red road to raise funds for the underprivileged people suffering from cancer.
Many celebrities including former skipper of Indian cricket team Sourav Ganguly have consented to join the marathon. In all, around 5,000 runners are expected to participate in it. It will cover a distance of 42.195 km and begin at 6 a.m. from Red Road that day.
The marathon also aims to give athletes a platform to showcase their talent.
