Catholic priests should not drone on in their sermons but should try and keep them short, Pope Francis said on Thursday.
"Give short sermons if possible," Francis told priests during a homily as he celebrated Chrism mass in St Peter's Basilica. The mass traditionally begins Holy Week leading up to Easter.

President Droupadi Murmu on Saturday attended the funeral mass of His Holiness Pope Francis at Saint Peter’s Square in Vatican City.
The Prime Minister said this in response to a post by President's Secretariat post on X informing that President Droupadi Murmu paid homage to His Holiness Pope Francis at Basilica of Saint Peter in Vatican City.
President Droupadi Murmu, who was in the Vatican City to attend the state funeral of Pope Francis, on Friday, paid homage to the late pontiff.
