Russian President Vladimir Putin, who has steered the nation’s course since the beginning of the century, has announced his intention to participate in the upcoming 2024 elections. State media showcased Putin affirming his candidacy for a new six-year presidential term. Responding to a question posed by military officer Artyom Zhoga, Putin admitted contemplating various thoughts over time but expressed that the moment had come to reach a decision.
“I won’t conceal that I’ve entertained different ideas at different junctures, but now is the time for resolution,” Putin conveyed to Zhoga and other decorated soldiers, according to Reuters.
