If a power nap can work wonders, a power break can be healing and rejuvenating for all. Work or no work, everyone needs a break once in a while. A long break, somehow, may not be possible. However, a quick weekend getaway may be all we need.

The benefits of weekend getaway

Saves time: One can make the most of the weekend holiday. You may not need to take leave from work. It enables you to save on your working days. Plan an overnight travel and make the best of the day for touring or visiting places of interest.

Saves energy: A long holiday enables you to visit certain far-off places which require more time to visit. However, the long days of travelling and exploration can exhaust you. However, a power break of a day or two away from home and work can help beat the stress and could make a refreshing break.

Saves travel cost: A long holiday is expensive while a shorter holiday is cheaper, as you have to shell out more for longer stays in hotels and lodges. Hence, you can save on stay and food with short breaks. Also, the shorter distance makes for a cheaper travel.

More travel: One may not afford frequent long breaks and one long break may enable you to visit fewer places, whereas smaller breaks can be availed more frequently and give you the opportunity to visit more places. So plan your weekend well. Make use of it for visiting more places in a year.

While you are in Delhi, some of the more popular weekend getaways are Manesar in Haryana, Neemrana, Bharatpur and Pushkar in Rajasthan, Rishikesh, Haridwar and Mussoorie in Uttarakhand among others.
