Panic gripped Chirka village in Garhwa district after a herd of wild elephants trampled two villagers to death late Sunday night, triggering public outrage and renewed questions over the Forest Department’s preparedness and response.
The incident occured in the Sanausi beat of Godwal forest range in the North Forest Division of Shahdol.
