Family feud in the OBC Vanniyar-dominant Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) has resurfaced once again in the open with party founder S Ramadoss on Thursday declaring himself as the party President by demoting his son and former Union Minister Anbumani as Working President.
The PMK is the political arm of the powerful Vanniyar community and the previous AIADMK government had ordered 10.5 percent reservation for the community from within the Most Backward Caste (MBC) fold.
The bench said, "We will hear the batch of petitions challenging the validity of the reservation in 10 days. But if the government wants to implement the quota even before the court decides its validity, then we have to stay any such move."
