In its ongoing pursuit to augment farmers' income and bolster their financial well-being, the Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh has set an ambitious goal of procuring 60 lakh metric tonnes of wheat during the fiscal year 2024-25.
The prime minister hoped of an unexpected victory for the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections attributing it to CM Yogi's commitment to good governance and development.

The seats going for polls in the first phase are Saharanpur, Bijnor, Kairana, Muzaffarnagar, Nagina, Moradabad, Rampur and Pilibhit.
The party slammed the Yogi Adityanath Government for announcing a meagre State Support Price (SAP) for potato of Rs 650 per quintal.
“Every section of the society is angry with them (the BJP) and now they all want to get rid of the BJP government at any cost," claimed the SP chief.
The festival is being celebrated in a peaceful manner and there is no untoward incident from anywhere, said Additional Director General of Police, Law and Order, Prashant Kumar.
