The latest US military operation targeted Iranian military infrastructure linked to attacks in the Strait of Hormuz, as Washington signalled its campaign would continue despite growing regional tensions.
According to the CENTCOM, four American service members were medically evacuated to Jordanian hospitals.
CENTCOM said vessels travelling to or from Iranian ports would be stopped, while other shipping could continue. Tehran rejected Washington’s authority and warned against interference in routes controlled by Iranian forces.

According to figures published by commodity analytics firm Kpler, around 36 resource carriers sailed through the Strait of Hormuz on Monday.
