On the request of Chief Electoral Officer( CEO) of Uttar Pradesh Navdeep Rinwa, the Election Commission of India ( ECI) has extended the process of Special Intensive Revision ( SIR) in the state by two week.
The party submitted a memorandum demanding that Booth Level Officers (BLOs) in Muzaffarnagar's six assembly constituencies be directed to visit each voter's doorstep and provide them with enumeration forms.
After filling out the counting form, one copy of the self-signed form or signed by an adult relative will be given to the Booth Level Officer, and the other copy, signed by the Booth Level Officer, will be given to the voter/adult relative as a receipt.
Party officials and leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party, Indian National Congress, Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party, CPI (M), Aam Aadmi Party and Apna Dal (S) were present in the meeting.
He informed that these parties have now ceased to be entitled to benefits available to political parties under Section 29B and Section 29C of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, the provisions of the Income Tax Act, 1961, and the Election Symbols (Reservation and Allotment) Order, 1968.
