As UK PM Starmer landed at CSMIA, Modi tweeted on X, “Welcome, Prime Minister Keir Starmer, on your historic first visit to India with the largest ever trade delegation from the United Kingdom. Looking forward to our meeting tomorrow (Thursday) for advancing our shared vision of a stronger, mutually prosperous future.”
Starmer, who is on a two-day visit to India, has officially visited the country for the first time. His visit will include key meetings with senior Indian government ministers and businesses to deepen bilateral trade and diplomatic relationships that will benefit all parts of the United Kingdom.
They will deliver keynote addresses at the event, as part of the official engagements of the UK PM's first official visit to India from October 8 to October 9 at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the MEA stated.
