In another step to enhance citizen convenience, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has allowed people to add or update their email ID in Aadhaar directly through the Aadhaar App, eliminating the need to visit an Aadhaar centre.
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), in collaboration with the International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad (IIT Hyderabad), recognised the winners of its Biometric SDK Benchmarking Challenges for face and iris modalities, on Monday.
The programme allows cybersecurity experts to look for possible weaknesses in some of UIDAI’s key digital platforms. If they find genuine security gaps and report them responsibly, they will receive rewards based on the seriousness of the issue.
So far, the massive exercise has helped around 1.2 crore (12 million) school children complete their MBU right in their schools, it said.
The initiative will help residents identify Aadhaar Centres based on the nature of services offered, like adult enrolment, child enrolment or only address and mobile update
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has successfully rolled out a new security mechanism.
UIDAI said the Aadhaar holders should not disclose Aadhaar OTP to any unauthorised entity and refrain from sharing m-Aahaar PIN with anyone.
These are in addition to about 52,000 Aadhaar enrolment centers run by Banks, Post Offices and State Governments, said a senior officer of the Ministry of Electronics and IT.
The Authority may prescribe procedure to archive and perform analysis, for research purposes, from aggregated and anonymised authentication transaction data in the form of circulars.
The AIMIM president also requested the Telangana Police and the UIDAI to reveal how many of those 127 listed people are Muslim and Dalit.
