Badal revealed that an additional 10 to 15 SGPC members who had stood with Bibi Jagir Kaur were poised to rejoin the SAD in the forthcoming days. He also urged all leaders who had previously departed from the party to reunite under the SAD's banner
The SAD chief also expressed deep concern over the suspension of visa services for travel from Canada to India.
The SAD leader said prime among these included the breaking of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) by creating a separate Gurdwara Committee for Haryana besides interfering in the SGPC elections.
The SAD president said that the people are no longer safe and secured in rural and urban alike Punjab because of steep hikes in the cases of extortion and ransom.
The spokesperson quoted SAD leaders saying Badal led from the front in the recent Assembly polls and also inspired the party leadership as well as the party cadre to give its best.
State Congress chief Navjot Sidhu took to Twitter to announce that a case has been registered.
Pointing out that Bargari was the creation of the Badals-led SAD, Amarinder said his government was trying to clean up the mess and the SIT formed by it was investigating the matter thoroughly.
The opposition Aam Aadmi Party and Shiromani Akali Dal are mired in infighting which is a good sign for the ruling Congress ahead of the 2019 battle.
The Akali Dal is passing through a tough political phase in recent memory following former chief minister Badal's indictment by the Ranjit Singh Commission, which looked into sacrilege cases and subsequent firing by cops on Sikh protesters in 2015.
