In a major breakthrough against organized crime, the State Special Operations Cell (SSOC) of Punjab has successfully foiled a targeted killing plot masterminded by Canada-based terrorist Arsh Dala.
Those arrested have been identified as Satnam Singh alias Prince, a resident of Buttar Kalan of Batala and Manjit Singh, resident of Bhagi Nangal in Batala, according to an official statement.
Two days after the Punjab Police busted a cross-border drug smuggling racket and recovered six kilogram (kg) heroin, a follow-up investigation into the case on Saturday led to recovery of four kg heroin concealed beneath the road in a village Bute Dian Chhana in Mehatpur, Jalandhar.
