The fact is—BJP’s advantage among non-Marathi Hindutva voters, combined with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s electoral appeal, added with some generous sprinkling of freebies and add-ons, is a big challenge for any political party, more so for those relegated to the sidelines.
The suggestion by former Sena corporators to ally with the Raj Thackeray-led MNS came after Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray directly asked them during the closed-door discussion whether such an alliance would be beneficial, party sources said.
Speaking about the possibility of an alliance between Shiv Sena (UBT) and Raj Thackeray’s MNS, Raut asserted that any decision in this regard will be taken by the two brothers.
