A man, carrying a bottle of country liquor, suddenly stops in the dark of night. Right in front of him stands a Royal Bengal Tiger. The man feels the tiger too could be his drinking companion. So he holds out the bottle toward the tiger.
Beyond the Alipore Zoo in Kolkata, another Bengal zoo, the one located in Burdwan town, is set to house a Royal Bengal tiger and a hippopotamus, senior forest officials have stated.

The tiger was finally caught today with the forest officials managing to knock it out with a tranquillizer dart. It was safely put in a cage and ferried to a hospital to undergo a clinical check-up. The state forest minister Jyotipriyo Mullick said that a large number of forest officials was deployed to catch the tiger, ensuring it doesn’t get killed at the hands of people.
An official statement of KNP & TR said that the carcass of a Royal Bengal Tiger was detected by staff of Bheroni camp under Kohoral Range of Kaziranga Tiger Reserve on the morning of June 18 in Japoripathar village.
