All political parties have begun finalising their preparations and strategies for next year's Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh.
The Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) led by Jayant Chaudhary is the NDA's partner in Uttar Pradesh.
"The ruler had given up his own residence in Mathura in 1909 so that Prem Mahavidyalaya, touted as the country's first polytechnic, could come up on the land," he said.
A distinguished parliamentarian, Tyagi is a former member of the Lok Sabha as well as the Rajya Sabha.

The eight seats on which the polling would be held on April 11 are Meerut-Hapur, Ghaziabad, Gautam Budh Nagar, Baghpat, Bijnor, Muzaffarnagar, Kairana and Saharanpur.
“We are leaving 7 seats vacant for SP, BSP and RLD. These include Mainpuri, Kannauj, Firozabad and whatever seats Mayawati ji and RLD's Jayant ji and Ajit Singh contest from. We will also give two seats to Apna Dal - Gonda and Pilibhit, said Babbar while briefing the media.
Party leaders feel that RLD, in an alliance with SP and BSP, can win elections on many important seats of western UP with their Jats-Muslims formula.
While no formal declaration about the pact has come forth from either the SP or the BSP, it is understood that Mayawati may make an announcement to this effect on January 10.
