A BJP councillor in Kerala's Palakkad municipality has filed a complaint against rapper and songwriter Vedan, aka Hirandas Murali, with the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and the Union Ministry of Home Affairs, alleging that he insulted Prime Minister Narendra Modi in one of his songs.
Rapper Vedan, whose real name is Hirandas Murali, has been arrested by the police following a raid by the Kochi City DANSAF squad (District Anti-Narcotics Special Action Force) at his flat at Thrippunithura in Kochi.
