Union Civil Aviation Ministe Rammohan Naidu handed over the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) aerodrome licence to the upcoming Noida International Airport in Jewar on Monday.
The launch will mark the beginning of a landmark four-day global aviation gathering scheduled to be held from 28 to 31 January at Begumpet Airport, Hyderabad, the Ministry of Civil Aviation said on Saturday.
At the inauguration ceremony, children greeted the minister with flowers.
According to the Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), the upgraded terminal will become operational from the intervening night of October 25 and 26.
