Akhilesh Yadav highlighted the alleged fraud in Chandigarh mayoral elections and said that BJP could go to any extent to win.
Commenting on Congress MLA Kuldeep Bishnoi whose vote was rejected, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that he voted openly after listening to his "inner conscience".
Notably, all the Congress MLAs have been shifted to Hotel Leela in the Amer area where the internet services have been suspended.
"In the present PIL, even notices have not been issued to the other side. It is also evident that during the pendency of the present PIL, elections to the Rajya Sabha were held and Members were elected to Rajya Sabha," the court said.
Making this announcement on his Twitter handle, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann said, "I am happy to announce that AAP is nominating two Padma Shri awardees for the Rajya Sabha. One is environmentalist Padma Shri Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal and second is Padma Shri Vikramjit Singh Sahney."
NSCA president Paramjit Singh Kainth said the AAP has 29 MLAs, including Kulwant Singh Mohali belonging to the SCs, but the party didn't field a candidate from the community for the Rajya Sabha.
Chief Minister, M.K. Stalin announced the candidature of the two. The Rajya Sabha seats have fallen vacant in Tamil Nadu after sitting AIADMK members, R. Vaithilingam and K.P. Munuswamy resigned their seats on getting elected to the Tamil Nadu assembly in 2021 polls.
Three BJP candidates and a Congress nominee were elected in the election to the Upper House of Parliament from Gujarat. The resignation of the Congress MLAs ahead of last week's Rajya Sabha election for four seats was crucial for the ruling BJP to win three seats, while only one Congress nominee won the election.
At the time of filing papers, former chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, state BJP president VD Sharma, outgoing Rajya Sabha MP Prabhat Jha and other BJP leaders were also present.
