AAP’s decision to replace Chadha with Ashok Mittal has sparked political reactions and speculation about internal tensions within the party ahead of key electoral battles.
In a significant political development, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday is said to have removed one of its most prominent faces, Raghav Chadha — considered a key planner and strategist — from the post of Deputy Leader in the Rajya Sabha.
AAP has written to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat seeking a leadership change in its Upper House team. The party has proposed Ashok Mittal as deputy leader while asking that Raghav Chadha not be given speaking time from its quota.
Last month, Chadha had raised the issue in Parliament, demanding a ban on 10-minute delivery.
The AAP MP flagged the issues faced by delivery agents of quick commerce and instant commerce comapnies like Zomato, Swiggy and Blinkit.
